It is more pronounced in women, who end up spending so much energy and
finances trying to fight, resist and delay aging. It is ridiculous. The
cosmetic industry that supports women's quest for eternal beauty is a
multi-billion dollar industry.
But at some point, most women get tired of the charade and go slow on the push-up bras, makeup and fashion. They make peace with themselves and decide to live with their flaws. Wiser ones would have known that men are douche bags and selected the ones whose bullsh*t they can handle or regulate. And this age is usually 35.
Whereas in the past 35-year-olds were mostly married with two or three children, nowadays, you are most likely to find 35-year-olds blowing shisha smoke through their noses like coal mine chimneys. I have met many such women in Nairobi who lead destructive lives, always justifying that it is their lives to live - they don't need men to be successful or happy. Ah! The lies some women tell themselves.
Barring the happily married and settled ones, there are two types of
singles in their mid-30s: the independent careerist who thinks men and
marriage are an insult to her success; and the lonely type who are
looking for love from all places, especially dating sites. Single women
in their mid-30s should be studied keenly. They are the most provocative
and in-your-face seducers.
Biologically, it has been shown that a woman's sexual appetite grows with age, which is the opposite case in men. Well, at 35, a woman knows what she wants and she will not stop looking for what she wants until she is satisfied. I am meeting more and more of them cheating or contemplating cheating. Even the most faithfully married woman at this point is open to throwing all the caution to the wind and trying some adventure.
