Jay Z, Beyonce, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne & More To Perform At TIDAL Concert
Yesterday, a rare event occurred. Jay Z
tweeted, albeit it was just about promoting his
subscription streaming service, TIDAL.
Hov
announced that TIDAL had reached the 1
million mark in users, and there would be an
event on 10/20 in Brooklyn to celebrate.
Today we have the details on that event,
which is actually a massive concert that's
going down at Barclays. The "TIDAL X: 1020"
concert will feature performances from Jay Z,
Beyonce, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, T.I.,
Fabolous, Damien Marley, Usher, Prince and
more. It also isn't limited to TIDAL users,
although if you are member you'll get first dibs
at purchasing tickets.
Tickets will range from $74 to $244, and
they'll go on sale for TIDAL
subscribers September 30th at 12 PM EST.
The rest of us regular folk can purchase
tickets on October 2nd at 12 PM EST.
All proceeds from the event will go towards
New World Foundation, with the goal to
"benefit nonprofit organizations dedicated to
advancing positive community relations and
effecting systemic change for the development
and sustainability of just societies, this
inaugural event's philanthropic focus."
If you can't make it to the show, you'll be able
to live stream it via TIDAL-- and once again
they've opened it up so non-members are
also able to stream, free of charge
