Kanye West Auditions For American Idol

For whatever reason, Kanye West "auditioned"
for American Idol.

Jennifer Lopez and Harry Connick Jr., the hosts
of American Idol, were treated to a surprise
today, as they were greeted by a familiar face
during Idol auditions in San Francisco. Also
today in San Francisco, West was introduced by
Barack Obama before performing at a fundraiser
for the Democratic National Committee. The
stakes weren't quite as high for his Idol
"audition."
See a short clip of Kanye's audition below, in
which he raps lines from "Gold Digger," and
namedrops J. Lo: "My psychic told me she'll
have an ass like Serena / Trina, Jennifer Lopez,
four kids."
Ryan Seacrest has confirmed that Yeezy is
going to Hollywood. We suspect that the
audition will be shown as a humorous stunt
when the show premieres; I mean, he better not
be foregoing SWISH to star on the next season
of American Idol.
