Mugo wa Wairimu charged with rape
Mugo Ndichu, famously known as Mugo
wa Wairimu, has been charged with
rape.
Mr Mugo was charged earlier today with
one count of rape, administering a
sedative and 10 counts of operating
unregistered clinics.
He was also denied bail after prosecution
said he was a danger to the society, but
the court said it will decide on monday if
he will be granted bail.
Mugo, who owns several clinics in the
city, is alleged to have sedated and
raped a woman in one of his clinics but
some revelations also suggest that he
might have done it to many other ladies
who are still afraid of coming out.
Apart from the rape case, Mr. Ndichu is
also being accused of operating the
clinics without authority and his case is
still pending at the Makadara Law
Courts.
He has been in police custody since
September 11 after his arrest which was
sparked by public outrage after a video
showing him sexually abusing a sedated
woman in a hospital examination table
